    Primer depth

    Aloha got replacement parts for Hornady AP . Tring do my 1st 223 cases primed. Not flush sticks out a little. GTG or have issue ? Did 45 acp and 50 beowulf had no issues. Brass be fully prep LC from Sages. Mahalo

    Sticking out is no good. You want them slightly recessed.

    Agree, the only time I had them sticking out was when a couple military crimp brass snuck in my pile....

    I have a steel 6" rule (straight edge) on my bench. I lay it across the top of my primed brass. If it rocks . . . no good,and I seat a little deeper. --- SAWMAN

    Brass is fully processed with crimp removed from Sage . Using CCI small rifle primers. No adjustment on Hornady press for depth. Just barely catch finger nail on primers . Mahalo for replies all.
